the Roman Wall and located within an AONB, it offers spectacular views of the North
Pennines. Currently 10 holes, par 68, sss 68, expansion is under way to full 18 hole
par 72, 6800 yds, sss 73, completion Summer 2005 The 15th century
clubhouse offers full catering facilities and societies and groups are most welcome.
The Club was founded in 1905 and has occupied numerous sites over the years. The
current site, The Hermitage, is situated 2 miles south of Alston on the B6277 and
comprises 121 acres of parkland, high meadow and pasture land. With a small membership and
remote location it is ideal for the golfer who likes playing the game at his own pace. |
