One of Northumberlands best kept secrets
is the breathtaking beauty of Longhirst Hall Golf Course.
Scenic views and panoramic countryside make this an expansive Florida-style course with an
elegant English touch a unique concept.Longhirst Hall, par 72 and measuring 6572
yards, was opened in June, 1997. This layout now plays as our Winter Course, with full
spec winter greens if required. It has been skilfully modelled to provide some of the most
stunning holes in the country. On the fascinating 17th, for example, you drive downhill
past two lakes before aiming for a narrow green flanked by a pond on either side.
At 6101 yards off the White blocks the Championship Course ia a true test of accuracy.
Tight fairways and abundance of water make the championship course a test for even the
best golfers.A thoughtful progression around the course is required. The par 3,6th and the
par 4,17th are truly stunning holes, that have to be played to be believed.
Measuring 6713 yards from the White Tees the Leisure Course ia a more relaxing round of
golf here but still gives a bite if you're not on your game. Wider fairways and large
greens are more forgiving but can make for the 3 putt!! Lakes and water features in
abundance again. The par 4, 5th and the par 4, 14th stand out, demanding accuracy and a
bit of nerve.
