The Club has a full length practice ground near
to the first tee. It includes a superb short game practice area, with a practice green and
bunkers which were designed specifically so they can be kept to the same standards as
those on the course. The practice putting green is conveniently placed between the
pro-shop and the 1st tee. |

|
Thorpeness golf course was designed by James
Braid and built in 1922. It is a coastal heathland course offering a tough challenge to
all levels of player. The course winds through silverbirch, pine trees, gorse and heather.
The Sunday Telegraph Golfing Guide has been moved to describe the classic terrain as
"Reminiscent of the inland glories of Sunningdale and Woodhall Spa" - and that
is high praise indeed! |
